The Future of Digital TV

TV over broadband (IPTV): Also referred to as TV over IP, it is TV signals being sent across an IP-based network such as the Internet or a closed network. Actual network implementations may be based on either fiber or phone cables, and signals can be delivered for viewing on either PC's or Set-top-boxes connected to the TV.

Digital Terrestrial TV (DTT): Many countries are etablishing DTT networks and closing down analog TV signals. Households receiving TV through antennas will need a digital receiver (Set-top-box) within the next couple of years.

This technology opens the opportunity for more TV channels with better image quality and more user interaction.
