What brings you to Denmark?

Moving abroad has always been my dream. And therefore, after finishing secondary school, I was looking for opportunities to continue my education at university abroad. Studying in Denmark was a very popular option at that time as education was in English. Even though all I knew about Denmark was that it´s very rainy but it´s still one of the happiest countries in the world. Which was one of the main reasons I was very eager to move here.

Why and when did you join Nordija?

The last part of the final semester of my PBA degree (Professional Bachelor degree) at Copenhagen Business Academy was looking for an internship either in an already established company or have my start-up. IT, especially the TV area of the business, was one of my top priorities since it´s such a fast-moving industry and the conversion from linear TV to IPTV/OTT or in my case purely SVOD is something that has kept my interests in the recent years. I was hoping that my Innovation & Entrepreneurship education can bring value to any company. And that´s around the same time I saw that Nordija was looking for interns for their marketing department. After a 3-month internship, I was offered a full-time job and joined Nordija on a full-time basis.

Role at Nordija

My role at Nordija is Marketing & Sales coordinator. The primary responsibility before the 'corona-times' was planning and executing of the tradeshows and conferences that Nordija was attending. I was in charge of planning meetings and arranging all the travels for the company and well as organizing the events.
However, when everything was going so well, 'the world has closed down,’ we had to adjust to the new situation. Instead of meeting customers at the tradeshows, we changed to virtual meetings, webinars and put more focus on online advertising.

Even though it is not that exciting to stay in the office and not to travel every other month, we all believe that the situation will improve soon and we will meet our 'Nordija family’ somewhere out there.

What do you enjoy the most about Nordija´s culture?

Nordija is like a family. Circus family to be honest. Colleagues coming from 20 different countries, 3 continents, different cultures, and different backgrounds. ‘We can´t be more different, but we are still a Team’.

What is your most memorable moment since you have worked at Nordija?

There have been too many! It´s so hard just to pick one.

Among the most memorable ones I would include my first time at NAB in Las Vegas, IBC 2018 in Amsterdam where we celebrated Nordija´s 20th anniversary, Andina link show in Cartagena, Colombia that was followed by Carnival in Barranquilla, Customer event at Octoberfest in Münich, Nordija Ski trip in France or any of our Summer or Christmas parties.

What do you like to do when you aren’t working? And what are your interests and passions outside of work?

Under normal circumstances, I would say traveling. Prolonged weekends in any of the European capitals. But I also enjoy being at home and chilling on the balcony, rollerskating, swimming, or just spending time on the beach.
